Nice oreodont skull with lower jaws from the Chadron formation of the White River Group of Sioux County Nebraska, Eocene in age. There was some restoration done to this fossil skull. There area's outlined in red, show the areas that were restored or touched up. The entire snout of this critter was crushed down before resto, which is why it has the odd shape. I prefer things to stay as much natural as found as possible, versus covering up natural bone with putty and paint to get things back to their in-life state.
Skull measures about 8” long, 3.1” wide, 4.25” tall
